Stretch Marks

Stretch Marks

Stretch marks are a common problem faced by many women and are often a result of hormone imbalances during pregancy or rapid weight gain or loss. Until now, there were very few options for removing stretch marks, but now new laser treatments finally offer an effective solution for stretch mark removal.

Our non-ablasive fractional Palomar laser rejuvenates the skin, improving its´ colour and texture and giving it a much smoother and clearer appearance. Stretch marks are treated using the Palomar Lux1540 TM handpiece which heats up tiny columns of the epidermis and dermis layers of the skin. The short laser pulses stimulate the natural healing processes of skin causing old, damaged cells to be replaced with new tissue and collagen. The Palomar Lux1540 TM is FDA approved.

How does it work?

Short laser pulses reach the damaged tissue and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. This improves the colour and texture of the stretch mark, leaving smoother and better-looking skin.

How long is the recovery time?

As the treatment is non-ablasive, most patients can resume regular activities immediately following the treatment session.

Are there any side-effects?

Typically, a slight redness and swelling will appear staight after the treatment but it will fade on its own after a couple of hours.
